Toddler Propaganda
Liberals Reach A New Low

By D.W.

The Liberal movement in America has reached in a pathetic new low in the advancement of their agenda. They are now overtly creating propaganda targeted at toddlers with the creation of a children’s book titled Why Mommy is a Democrat.

As if control of nearly every major media source in America and the big three TV networks wasn’t enough for them. It is one thing to have Liberal propaganda shows like the West Wing which targets adults who should be capable of rational thought but to crassly market political values to toddlers in order to indoctrinate them with party talking points is just disgusting. If Conservatives start doing this, shame on them because it is just as wrong.

Children shouldn’t be politicized and they shouldn’t be blurting out party slogans as if they were nursery rhymes.

Kids should just be allowed to be innocent without having to wonder whether or not the government is taking care of them. This vulgar propaganda smacks of communism, where little children learned how evil the West was and how the great and mighty government made all good things happen. And for all of you who are in denial; my wife grew up in a communist country and she was exposed to this very same nonsense as a child.

The book was written by Jeremy Zilber, a Left-Wing college professor from Madison Wisconsin (imagine that) and a psychology professor at that. Oh and one of his specialties is political socialization, so when the Liberals take over the country he can be chief propaganda officer and train all of our children to be good little socialists.

The book features a mother squirrel and her little cute cuddly squirrel children who live in a nice tree house surrounded by humans. The book attempts to demonstrate how the Democrats, just like their mother, loves and protect them. The subtle message here is that the Democratic Party is analogous with your parents; which is absolutely absurd! Also implied here is that Big Brother can take care of all your needs from the cradle to the grave and that you really don’t have to take much responsibility for your life.

A question for all of you Liberals out there, do you trust bureaucrats to provide for the safety and welfare of your children the same way that you do? Do you trust politicians to make good parenting choices for your children?

In contrast, most religious children’s books convey a related type of message in a similar format as they are expressed in this book. Now many Liberals (and some Conservatives) are humanists and for them Liberalism is their religion. So why can’t secular humanist Liberals use this format to convey values if religious people do the same?

Well, politics is not a religion and should never be considered one. Religion centers on a Supreme Being or a reality of some sort that is omniscient and omnipotent. If you don’t believe in God that’s fine but don’t ascribe godlike status to mankind because whenever politicians do this, then genocidal dictators who think they are God emerge and commit atrocities. Many people in North Korea believe Kim Jong Ill is God and he is their religion. History, modern and ancient, is littered with too many examples of such.

Besides, Christianity, the dominant American Faith, is non-political although Christian principles also lend themselves to many political initiatives. Such values are universal and timeless and they apply across the entire political spectrum. Even atheists can benefit from the message of Jesus without believing in his divinity.

However, political values are secular, temporal, and man made ideals and like man, they are also flawed. The political values of both parties have changed over time to evolve with reality and to gain and maintain power. And such principles of one political party are not necessarily good values to build you or your children’s life around.

The author claims that the intent of his book is to help Left-Wing parents teach their children what Liberals hold dear. Indeed it is a parent’s mission to instill good morals in their child but this has usually been done in a non-partisan way. Good character traits like politeness, honesty, integrity, and others are universal and should be taught to all children and most normal children’s book do convey this message. But for this publication, why does it have to be politicized to convey a good message?

This book leads children to believe that only Democrats have good values, which is patently false.

For the party of tolerance, this is a pretty intolerant message. Just look at the picture above; it certainly implies that only Democrats share. This is a bogus premise because conservatives share too; the Bush Administration has given more money to combating HIV in Africa than anyone else in the world ever has even though the media doesn’t report it as such.

So how would Liberal children react if they interacted with Conservative children? Would they conclude that Johnny’s mommy is not a Democrat so Johnny must be a bad person who doesn’t share his toys?

The author also states that the book will help parents communicate their support for the Democratic Party to their children. I want to know why toddlers need to understand anything about political parties. Is politics so much the center of someone’s life that they make it their purpose to indoctrinate their children? Can’t children of Democrats just be children and read books about Dinosaurs and Zoo animals like most normal children do?

Our culture in America is becoming grotesquely sick and this book is just another indicator of this development.
