The McCain
Surge
But What About Romney?
Well, the Nevada Caucuses and the South Carolina Primary are
over. It’s on to Florida. And who is the front runner? Why McCain of
course! But wait. Didn’t Romney win in Nevada? What about that? So
now that the dust has settled, what exactly is the delegate count
thus far. Is this really a McCain surge?

Who’s On First?
GOP 2008 Presidential Update
As of 12 Jan 2008, who is ahead in the GOP primaries? Romney
was expected to win in Iowa, but he came in second to Huckabee, so
as of the Iowa Caucus, Huckabee was ahead. Romney was winning in New
Hampshire, but came in second to McCain. So does McCain now have the

About Mormonism: Part 1
So why is there a religion article in the politics section? No, we
are not a Mormon web site (the site owner is not Mormon) but since
the press has made such a big deal about Mitt Romney's religion when
he became a Republican presidential frontrunner, it is important for
investigative voters to sift fact from fiction.

About Mormonism: Part 2
Part of the problem some people have with Mitt Romney is his
straight-laced “Leave it to Beaver” image. It isn’t what people
expect in their neighbors, much less their politicians, and it is
hard for many to believe that it is anything but an act. Again, it
is important for investigative voters to sift fact from fiction.

About Mormonism: Part 3
Flip-flopping isn’t simply about changing
one’s mind. It is about changing one’s position based on political
expediency. Does Mitt really mean what he says, or is he just saying
something to get elected. Can we trust him? Conservatives are right
to be wary. We have been burned too many times in the past.

About Mormonism: Part 4
Mitt Romney, Republican candidate for
president, is a Mormon. And just like JFK and Roman Catholicism, the
fears are very much the same. Will Mitt first consult with Salt Lake
when making public policy? Will there be a “hot line” between the
president of the country and the first presidency of the LDS Church?

About Mormonism: Part 5
If people still believe that Mormon
politicians only take their instructions from Utah, look at Senate
Majority leader Harry Reid (D) who happens to be a Mormon in good
standing. Romney and Reid have very different political
views. If they are receiving directions from Salt Lake City, those
directions are highly contradictory.

A Fourth of July to Remember
This past Fourth of July is probably one of my more
memorable ones.
It started off with a bang as
the Discovery lifted off the launch pad; it was an impressive sight
– the largest “bottle rocket” in history.
Then North Korea decided to stage its own
“fourth of July” celebration, test firing six missiles over the Sea
of Japan.

Question for Conservatives
My wife asked me the other day, “Are we planning to do
anything this year to help Republican candidates out this year?” I
had to stop and think. And perhaps there are a lot of conservatives
doing the same thing.

Growing Hysteria Over George W. Bush
Pushing the Panic Button
There are plenty of people claiming that, while Bush may have
been re-elected, he does not have a “mandate”, and thus, must modify
his positions “to take into account the millions who disagree with
him on the issues”. What’s up with that?

A Dime’s Worth of Difference
Replace FDR with Reagan
Another idea who's time has not come from the Republican Congress.
Let’s take FDR off the dime, and replace him with Ronald Reagan! So
who exactly was the idiot who thought this one up. Do the
Republicans have people staying up late at night thinking up stupid
stuff?

The Bogus Rumor
The rumor to Dick Cheney prior to the 2004
presidential election was totally wrong but it still got plenty of

have merit and which ones are totally ridiculous.

Did the GOP deserve to lose in the 2006 elections? That is a
