Bikini Teacher
Worked At Topless Fishing Boat

By Daniel Muniz

Tiffany Shepherd is a high school biology teacher in Florida. She also has a part time job at Smoke-Em Charters which provides fishing boats featuring bikini clad or topless female crew members. Although this young educator never went topless on these fishing trips, she eventually lost her teaching job.

Shepherd claims that she didn’t do anything wrong with this side job because she only gave marine biology lessons to the ship’s customers while wearing a bikini.

Of course, this story sounds fishy.

Any place that has topless female employees regardless of their employment duties is nothing more than a strip club and the women who work there are strippers. So even if Ms. Sheppard never did take her top off, she is still working for a strip joint because the other girls who worked there were topless.

Naturally, this educator didn’t feel that she violated any school policy with her part time gig. She claims:

"I'm a biologist. I have fished all my life. To fish and get paid, and make as much money in two days as I make in a week teaching, it was just an excellent opportunity and I would have been a fool to pass it up."

"As a matter of fact, when I am on the boat, most of the time, I give biology, marine biology lessons. It works out perfect because a lot of the guys have never been on a boat before. They have never fished, so they are coming off the boat with some fish and a little bit of knowledge."

Tiffany Shepherd Giving Marine Biology Lessons

The first thing is that the customers who use such boats aren’t there to fish. The purpose is to be erotically entertained, which is why this boat has shipmates who are beautiful women in bikinis or who are topless.

So in other words, the men who book Smoke-Em Charters are there to see some skin and watch the frolicking young women shake their bare boobs. As a result, it is really of no surprise that most of these customers have little to no knowledge about boating or fishing because they weren’t there to catch anything except for getting an eyeful.

These fishing boats may be a great place for a bunch of guys to have a bachelor party at but it isn’t a venue for those who are expecting to catch fish because it is a sexually oriented business. It is not a place to obtain an educational experience about marine biology and it is absurd to think otherwise.

Next, Shepherd insists that even if she was on her free time, she would still fish in a bikini because fishing is her passion.

Now that is quite an eye opener because most people who do fish usually don’t fish in their swimsuits. The exception would be if swimming was also going to be part of their excursion. Most fishermen would love to see a beautiful young woman in a bikini carrying a rod and reel but that just doesn’t happen.

Overall, Shepherd’s rationale doesn’t pass the smell test.

The real issue is that the St. Lucie County School District, which is Shepherd’s employer, doesn’t want to have any bimbos teaching a classroom full of kids who have raging hormones. This country has already been rocked so many times with seedy scandals involving attractive female educators having sex with teenage boys and this school district doesn’t want to be embroiled in any of that. Consequently, a teacher working in a sexually oriented business is not showing good judgment, so it puts the school at risk for something bad to happen.

Out of fairness, what people do in their personal time is their business. However, an educator is not an ordinary employee. He or she is expected to maintain the trust of the local community especially when they are overseeing the welfare of our children. The past scandals vividly demonstrate how fragile this trust is.

Unfortunately, Tiffany Shepherd is a teacher who should have been fired from Port St. Lucie High School a long time ago. She had already racked up 30 absences within a school year which severely impacts the learning experience for her kids. Unless it is a legitimate emergency, most private sector firms would have given her the axe. Regrettably, governmental entities don’t operate that way because of bureaucracy, unions, litigation, and poor leadership.

Instead, Shepherd has become something of a minor celebrity because there are so many people who enjoy the perverse and think that there is nothing wrong with teacher sex scandals. Playboy Magazine also wants to pay her and her shipmates to appear naked in one of their issues. So instead of having a perfectly valid reason to terminate a public school teacher, the school district has to fight through a lot of bad publicity to get rid of her.

The bottom line is that school districts need to move fast with problem educators. There are some people who aren’t cut out for teaching and then there are others who take full advantage to abuse the system such as having 30 absences.

Understandably, bureaucracy stifles good leadership but action has to be taken as soon as possible because a reckless teacher with bad judgment has to the potential to create bigger problems down the road.
